Mallorca Cycling Holiday 2020 Itinerary

Mallorca is one of Europe's Cycling Meccas, regularly used for training by Pro Tour Cycle Teams.

Our Mallorca cycling holiday is ideal for the discerning cyclist looking for a hint of adventure with the emphasis on fun.

In Mallorca, you will ride in the tyre tracks of Pro Tour cycle teams and countless amateur cyclists from all over the world. Why do 150,000 cyclo-tourists head to Mallorca every year? Because Mallorca has it all - from the secure bike storage and bike wash facilities that you’ll find at our hotel, to the wonderful choice of varied terrain along the rolling flatlands with pretty hilltop villages, into the stunning mountains or the spectacular coast roads. We will ride through ancient olive groves, tap out a tranquil rhythm through steadily rising hairpins, flow down descents on silky smooth tarmac.

Your rides will include the stunning peninsular to the lighthouse at Cap de Formentor and ticking off the world famous Sa Calobra - a descent and climb that should be on every cyclists bucket list.

With a careful balance of rides with steady mountain climbs and days on gently undulating terrain where the miles spin by you’ll experience the best of what Mallorca has to offer. The magnificent scenery will inspire you, and rest assured there will be plenty of opportunities to stop and preserve your memories by taking pictures. Mallorca is world famous for being cyclist friendly and the buzzing cafe stops are no different, often having bike stands to rest your steed whilst enjoying a cafe con leche or cortado with the islands famous almond cake.

You will stay in well appointed apartments each with 2 separate rooms for sleeping, and modern amenities. Hotel Duva is a cyclists favourite with all the facilities you could wish for including secure bike garage, repair shop, bike wash and laundry facilities, swimming pool, spa and wellness centre and free WiFi. You’ll have the choice of a wide array of foods at breakfast and dinner, many chosen with cyclists in mind, so there’s always a healthy offering.

We want this cycling holiday to be an adventure for you, a social experience where you will meet new friends and make great memories. This cycling holiday is run in partnership with KOM Coaching. We look forward to seeing you - discover why Mallorca is such a cycling Mecca...

Day Three: Our second ride will be a beautiful coastal ride out to Alcudia and then around to Santa Margalida and Sineu before heading back to Pollenca via Inca. (60 miles - 2,599 ft elevation)

Day Four: Having given ourselves the chance to acclimatise, it's now time to head for the mountains! You will ascend over 2,500 ft on the Coll de Femenia to reach the stunning mountain ridge road with breathtaking views of mountains, lakes and the sea. You will also take in the infamous Sa Calobra climb before returning back along the flat lands through Inca to Port de Pollenca. (73 miles - 7,500 ft elevation).

Day Six: Our big day out! We begin the day with a very gentle climb using quiet roads to Alaro, then the work begins! First we will climb Coll d'Honor, then Coll de Soller and finally Puig Major before descending to Lluc Monastery and back to Pollenca (85 miles - 8,600 ft of ascent).

Day Seven: Today we will head out through Buger and Selva to ascend the beautiful Coll de sa Batalla climb. We will then visit Lluc Monestary before a fabulous descent all the way back to Pollenca . (60 miles - 4,200 ft).

Day Eight: We finish our week following quiet cami roads to Petra. (60 miles - 2,400 ft). On returning to Pollenca we will pack bikes (or return hire bikes) leaving us time to explore the beautiful Port de Pollenca, visit the beach, or just relax at the hotel complex.
